How do beginners choose guitars?

For beginners, choosing a guitar that suits them is indeed a college question. When I first started learning guitar, I also read a lot of tutorials online, but in the end, I was still confused and didn’t know how to choose a guitar. Here are some suggestions for beginners based on my own experience

1. Budget: This is the most crucial step. There are significant price differences among different guitar brands, models, and materials. You need to choose a guitar within your budget range based on your own budget.

2. Size: The size of the guitar is also important. Generally speaking, standard sized guitars are suitable for most people to use, while small-sized guitars may cause discomfort to some people’s hands. You can try playing it first to see if it suits you.

3. Materials: Different materials can affect the sound and feel of the guitar. For example, the sound of a laminated guitar is more dry, while the sound of a single guitar is more rich. You can choose according to your own needs.

4. Brand: Choosing a reliable brand is also important. Large brand guitars often have better quality control and after-sales support. However, it should be noted that some well-known brands also have many different models of guitars, which need to be selected according to their own needs.

5. Tuning system: If you are someone who frequently goes out to play, an easily adjustable tuning system can be very useful. Modern guitars are generally equipped with easy-to-use Bluetooth tuners, which can greatly improve the efficiency of tuning.

6. Touch: Touch is also a very important factor. If the feel of the guitar is not good, it may cause hand fatigue and even injury after playing for a long time. Therefore, when purchasing a guitar, be sure to try playing it and see if the feel is suitable for yourself

The first guitar I bought back then was a single sheet folk guitar, and the price was also within my budget. After using it for a few years, I feel that the sound and feel are quite good. Of course, this is just my personal experience, and you need to choose according to your own needs.
